Griffin Armour update

After much discussion we wanted a warhammer40,000 style of armour and after proposing it to Games Workshop, they sadly declined  the use of their I.P. to our project, due to the fund raising aspects of plan28.org. It's a shame as it wouldve been helpful to have a creative heavywieght company backing us. But thats how the tea strains. Well, we still need armour so we have gone back to the drawing board and bought in a talented artist Richard Inwood to come up with a new steampunk design (based on medievil armour and victorian mechanics) which we will post soon. Ta.

Hello,We've nearly finished our cgi Analytical engine, wow alot of time in creating this cgi prop, over 700 cogs, 60 shafts and a 1000 numbers! I wanted to see the render time for this CGI prop and one still frame took 21minutes! As you imagine at 25 frames a second with moving parts and camera, it's going to be a long render session ahead. Anyway you can see a sneak preview of the frame rendered, with alittle photoshop touch to it, below...

We're wanting to give it a greenish hue as it's been tampered by the Professor so its inkeeping with the Beam weapons he supplied to Commander Goring-Shrapnel. There's also some technical film headaches coming up in Episode 3 where we have to have the Professor connect Joe's face mask(in the prop list) to it???? But we have acouple of brain cells in the co-op, so I'm sure we'll figure it out ;-)

Update...

Still in post production, all the chroma work is taking alot of time but we are slowly making progress. Please see a sample of the work flow, in our kinoscoper on your right hand side of the screen.

Asylum Steampunk Convention 2012

We had a great time at The Asylum Convention and wish to thank the organisors for a fantastic weekend. Also we wish to thank the Steampunk festival of films for screening our teaser trailer alongside handing out many fliers promoting plan28. 

Update to screening at The festival of films at The Asylum

A brief update, we have decided to concentrate on a fantastic teaser trailer for The Asylum rather than a mediocre edit for episode one. Sorry to those expecting to see episode one but we believe that the wait will be worth it. Just a matter of not enough hours in the day, while juggling my work, family and charity time. We want to do justice to plan28.org and everyone who has given their free time and energy to this project.

Our First Screening Booked!

Now with a deadline(gulp) we are proud to announce, that our first screening of Episode One will be at...

The Asylum , Europe's biggest Steampunk convention!  in Lincoln on the 8th & 9th of September.

If your going to Asylum, please look out for us in the castle, if not we will be screening Episode One across the country and then posting it on YouTube for plan28.org.

The 28th & 29th July Shoot

This weekend we will be filming our final major shoot for Episode One. Also we will  be recording the voice over for Kathrine, it's going to be a long shoot but with a great crew and fantastic actors we'll get every shot in the can. We will be taking photo's of the shoot and will post them late next week. Once these scenes are filmed  then it's into Post Production ready for...
